Operating without bias, discrimination or prejudice; Thawra (which translates to “revolution” in Arabic), aims to be a safe space for artists to showcase genuine and sincere musical expression, embodying the idea of art as resistance, and fundamentally art as a revolution. And in the face of adversity, it can only be achieved by coming together, celebrating the differences and generously sharing our skills, ideas and creativity, which goes hand-in-hand with the ethos of our label; nurturing a community of free-minded people united in their passion for music and not afraid to question the status quo.

In April 2022, Thawra Records officially launches its sub-label Tiny House Music, expanding into new sonic territories of namely Pop & Alternative influences, allowing our platform to cover more music genres, and create the opportunity for collaboration with a wider network of artists to develop, represent and support in the local & international community.

Thawra Records is a Beirut-based Electronic music label, supporting forward-thinking artists and musicians from the region and beyond. Founded in 2019 by veteran Lebanese musician, Red Bull Music Academy & Onebeat Alum’ Etyen, the label is a grassroots initiative, born from a need and will to nurture the underdeveloped local music community and industry, by coming together to give a voice to an-ever growing community of creatives from a part of the world that has much to offer and has till now been largely under-represented.
